Let’s All Win in 2010!
Special Guest Speaker: Michael Dupey
Notable Boomer, Entrepreneur Extraordinaire and Positive Survivor of Extreme Life Changes
This is the New Wave: Boomers, Baby!
Networking: Please bring business cards and be prepared to exchange with all. Everyone will have the opportunity to introduce yourself to the group and promote your business, job search or personal interests. Boomer Bardo is a salon-style interactive discussion and exchange of ideas/info.
The February Boomer Bardo Meetup will be a very special meeting! In addition to forming new friendships, networking and socializing – we will be honored with the wit and wisdom of Michael Dupey: Boomer, Entrepreneur and Positive Survivor of Extreme Life Changes.
Michael Dupey is very motivational, inspirational and very entertaining speaker. If you have ever wanted to have an uplifting afternoon of info-sharing and info-exchange with an extraordinarily approachable and successful business person, this is your chance! Also, Michael (like all Boomers) has had some less than happy events in his life. Come and experience how he has remained positive in the midst of personal challenges.
Be there – it could be life-changing!
Michael is the founder of the well-known MJ Designs Stores. From The Dallas Business Journal, Friday, October 24, 1997.
The crafts store wars
“Since Michael J. Dupey created the arts-and-crafts superstore concept nearly 30 years ago, Coppell-based MJDesigns Inc. — which split from the Michaels chain originally owned by Dupey and his father — has had the local scene sewn up.
Its 19 Metroplex stores cornered the middle- to upper-income women’s market with a giant-sized blend of such items as crafts, frames, floral work, memory books, home accents and sewing notions, said Clay Ellis, MJDesigns spokesman.”
Side topics for discussion generated from the main topic will undoubtedly enter areas such as: “Let’s network, make new friends and have fun! What about promoting my business? Or my job search? Or expanded networking to enhance/make secure the career I already have? And More.
Let’s meet up, network and groove at Boomer Bardo!
See you there!
Sponsored by BOOMER BARDO.
Baby Boomers: Those born between 1944 and 1964. (For the Value of 1x Boomer Bardo). A Possibly Quantum (and Definitely) Far Out Place To Groove. Where Boomers, Technology and Rock n Roll happily coexist. Get Retro-Active! We are an eclectic and fun group who enjoy interesting, lively discussions and low pressure, fun networking. For the Baby Boomer Generation – what a long, strange trip it’s been (and continues to be)! So we just keep on truckin’ along. We’re not necessarily older: We’re Experienced!
Think of Boomer Bardo as a Boomer oriented 21st century interactive Salon for Discussion, Socializing, Entrepreneurship, Business Development, Educational – and Other Vital Boomer Topics – with SOUL and the INTENT TO GROOVE. Networking, community-building, entrepreneurship, business development, info sharing, social, educational, motivational, inspirational, technology help for job seekers (including SEO and Social Media Marketing), and more: for Baby Boomers who think they are still Hip and Have What It Takes.
We’ll be rockin, groovin and networking with outstanding DFW area Boomers while getting some very useful info for Boomers in the 21st century. BE THERE and be informed, inspired, meet new friends and have a few free laughs with us! Because a laugh a day does a body good.

The BOOMER BARDO MISSION: “Hello, my name is [anonymous] and I am a Boomer!” The Boomer Bardo Mission is to provide some comic relief and be a Force for Good (loved those comic books!). Also to help interested Boomers Network, Build Community and stop increasingly-demanding daily responsibilities just for a brief moment, in order to be Energized today by their youthful Idealism. And to bring that Idealism forward into the 21st Century in order to leave an enduring legacy for future generations. And to Boldly Go, As Far As We Can!
