• Arlington Job Networking Community (AJNC) - A networking group for job seekers with a diverse membership. We are an independent group of unemployed or under-employed people who are networking to find our next job. The AJNC meets in the Lighthouse at First Baptist Church of Arlington, every Monday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 300 S. • Career Care @ St. Andrew UMC – Directions: St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano. Park on the east side of the campus, which is the Mira Vista street entrance, and park in the upper North lot and enter those doors. The rooms are down the hallway.

    • “Quick Start Your Job Search” @ St. Andrew UMC – If you are NEW to your job search and have recently attended, or you are planning to attend, the regular St Andrew CareerCare program on Monday nights, then we invite you to come EARLY and attend a special session at 6:00 PM SHARP (arrive 5:45) to “Quick Start your Job Search”, and then join the regular session from 7 – 9 pm (see below). No registration is needed, and it is also a free session. Content:- Our volunteer professional recruiters will present “Quick Start your Job Search”, an overview/orientatio n on how to develop and conduct a search from start to finish, including a resume template, registration for CareerCare job postings, and advice on interviewing, networking, etc. in a one hour “quick start” format at 6:00 PM in room 137.     • Career Care Main Meeting @ St. Andrew UMC - Career Care is a weekly support group established to help individuals who are out of work, seeking job transition, needing career advice or in a process of a career change. • CareerBridge – at Trietsch Memorial UMC – Launched in 2001, CareerBridge was one of the  Dallas area’s first church-based ministries to help people in job transition. Church membership is not required and all services are provided free of charge to all members of the community. • CareerConnection – Is the oldest and largest career management and networking organization in the DFW area. Founded in 1992, this group has assisted tens of thousands of professional in networking, career management and placement.  For more info go to www.careerconnection.org or call 214-739-7153. They have created a 4 week curriculum which includes resume writing, interviewing, networking and mentoring. • CAREERSOLUTIONS Workshop – The demographic of the group is very broad, from CEO to entry level, from highly technical to blue collar. Over time the mix changes; currently we are about 50% unemployed and 50% unhappily employed. There are four groups that meet in the DFW area. For more info go to www.CareerWorkshops.org. • CareerWorks - Wilkinson Center – This is a four week course designed to help anyone with career needs. Do you have a hard time finding work? Do you think your skills aren’t good enough and/or I do not have enough education or experience?
Have you been unhappy in most of my past jobs? Do you have a felony conviction? Don’t know what kind of job I would be good at? Have you been fired or laid off in the past? Do you know where I want to be in 5 years. If you answered yes to any of these, this is a good course for you. You will learn what is acceptable and not acceptable in the workplace. You will learn how to think like the employer and understand why they make the decisions that they make. You will learn how to make professional phone calls, how to interview, and how to market yourself and develop a resume! You will learn how to research and access companies which will put you three steps ahead of other job seekers. MOST IMPORTANTLY, you will find your Field-of-Fascination and enter a career that you LOVE instead of taking survival jobs!!! • Career Transitions - Dallas @ Northwest Bible Church - The Career Transition Workshop is designed as a 12-week recurring series to help job seekers.  It is open to all unemployed, underemployed, and employed individuals in transition. The workshop targets executives, managers, and professionals.  People from all walks in life, however, can benefit from the series. During the workshop, participants learn proven tools and techniques to advance their job search.  They get the opportunity to network and fellowship with other seekers.  The methodology we teach participants to use is time-tested, faith-focused, and biblically-based. • Career Transitions - Southlake @ Whites Chapel UMC - Career Transition Workshop (CTW) uses creative and entertaining presentations to motivate and teach job seekers important tasks to complete a successful job search.   Each session is led by accomplished Human Resources managers, professional recruiters or senior level managers. • DFW Call Center Focus Group - The group is made up of Job Seekers with Call Center Management experience in the areas of Customer Service, Inbound & Outbound Sales, Customer Relations/Customer Care, Call Quality, Vendor Selection and Management, Training & Development, Call Center Operations and Workforce Management. • Employment Transition Ministry (ETM) @ First United Methodist Church Richardson – volunteers assist both members and referrals of the FUMCR community in their efforts to find employment, change careers, or return to the workplace. ETM’s goal is to reduce the time of employment transition by networking with many local organizations, and through introductions to local companies represented by the members of FUMCR. • Empowering Job Seekers Seminar @ Richland Hills Church of Christ - Statistics prove that over 90% of the good jobs that pay a salary with benefits are never advertised in the newspapers or in online job sites. We focus on how to most effectively find these hidden jobs. We offer two two-hour seminars a month. The first Tuesday of each month session focuses on how to find the hidden jobs.  The third Tuesday of each month session focuses on resumes, interviewing skills and related topics to these two important items. • FENG (Financial Executives Networking Group) www.thefeng.org is a national organization for senior level financial executives.  The purpose of our chapter meetings is to offer an invaluable opportunity for you to create a sharp focus of your background with the other members and to network for opportunities.We get together once a month.
